Live the Live ™

That would be December 26th. I looked up the origins of Boxing Day, and there are several, none definitive. But it is a national holiday here as well as Australia, England, and a few other counties around the world. Fortunately for us, it also meant a lot less traffic on the roads and our trip from Tom’s Cottages to Wellington was pretty much uneventful.
We took a route that we were told was going to be scenic, crossing over the mountains to the western side of the North Island, hoping to drive south along the water. We saw a little water, but it was hardly scenic. I think we’ve been spoiled by the amazing beauty of this country, and anything short of WOW is now considered a disappointment!
Anyway…we’re killing a couple of hours right now, just a short hop to the ferry that will take us to the South Island. It’s a bit windy out he right now…hoping the seas will be calmer, but you never know! I brought my Bonine just in case!

By the way…I have movies and photos all set in Kelly’s laptop. As soon as I have access to it for a longer period of time, I’ll shoot some video your way!
